Turku–Toijala railway line 150 years

The Turku–Toijala railway will celebrate its 150th anniversary on 22 June 2026. The Jokioinen Museum Railway will participate in the celebrations by operating a steam train between Minkiö and Humppila stations.

A celebration program is planned at Humppila station such as:

• Ceremonial station opening at the new Humppila Station
• Planting a railway apple tree at the new Humppila Station
• Demonstration of a working miniature railway at the new Humppila Station
• Café and pancake sales at the new Humppila Station
• Café and sausage sales at the Humppila Museum Railway Station
• Park games at the Humppila Museum Railway Station
• Musical performances

The celebrations at Humppila Station begin at approximately 10:25 with the arrival of the Jokioinen Museum Railway steam train at Humppila Station.

Choose your desired trips

Below are examples of round trips you can make! Also one way trips are possible, but the ticket price is same 12 € for adults, 6 € for children.

There is one round trip available from Minkiö station (ticket price 12 euros, children 6 euros):

• Depart Minkiö for Humppila and the 150th aniversary at 10.00 (return to Minkiö at 13.26)

There are four round trips available from Humppila station (ticket price 5 euros, children 2,5 euros):

• Depart Humppila from the 150th aniversary for Kermala halt at 11.00 (return back to Humppila at 11.10)
• Depart Humppila from the 150th aniversary for Kermala halt at 11.30 (return back to Humppila at 11.40)
• Depart Humppila from the 150th aniversary for Kermala halt at 12.00 (return back to Humppila at 12.10)
• Depart Humppila from the 150th aniversary for Kermala halt at 12.30 (return back to Humppila at 12.40)

Connection by bus from Forssa to Minkiö station and the steam train

The Rajala bus departing from Forssa at 9:20 AM, which arrives at the Minkiö station junction at 9:40 AM, from where you can walk briskly to catch the steam train. The return bus departs from the Minkiö station junction at 2:23 PM and arrives Forssa at 2:40 PM.

Connections from VR trains to Humppila

You can arrive in Humppila for the 150th anniversary of the Turku-Toijala railway line with the following VR trains (arrival time at Humppila):

• 9.56 From Turku to Humppila
• 9.59 From Tampere to Humppila

You can get back home on the following VR trains (departure time from Humppila):

• 13.00 From Humppila to Turku
• 13.55 From Humppila to Tampere and to Toijala to continue the 150-years celebration

Bus connection from Forssa to Humppila station

With the Rajala bus departing from Forssa at 9:20 AM, arriving at Humppila railway station at 9:50 AM, you will still have time to join the party. The return bus departs from Humppila railway station at 1:10 PM and arrives in Forssa at 1:45 PM.
