The summer season of Jokioinen Museum Railway will end next Saturday, August 22, which promises to be a real super Saturday. There will be strength sports, culture and a train rides to celebrate.
The day begins with the Strongest Man and Woman competition held at Minkiö station, which offers interesting and exciting things to watch for people of all ages.
The cultural side is led by Maxim Fedorov, known as Ukraine correspondent of Finnish Broadcasting Company and author, who will begin his autumn tour of Finland from the Museum Railway. A Soviet dining car will be included on some of the museum train services, which will serve as Maxim's mobile bookstore. Starting at 3 p.m., Maxim will lecture at Minkiö station about his experiences traveling by train in Ukraine and the importance of railways in the Ukrainian war. After the event, there will be an opportunity to purchase books written by Maxim.
The day ends with a special train that arrives for the first time at the new Jokioinen Manor (Jokioisten Kartano) halt, from where passengers can easily transfer to the Cheese and Wine Festival organized at close by restaurant.
